Born in Toronto, Betty Pérard completed her elementary studies in Port-au-Prince, secondary in Montreal and university in Ottawa. She conceives a grandiose dream: take control of an airliner and become a pilot.

In 2001, she joined the University of Toronto in a newly created program of flying airliners. But the events of September 11, 2001 forced the University to close this program. She must therefore continue her training at three different flying schools.

Despite all the obstacles, she obtained in 2004 her private license with the Special Mention. Two years later, she was appointed Travel Coordinator at NATO’s military base in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Today, Betty Pérard lives in Montreal with her two children and continues her career in the travel industry.
